How to Do an Inmate Search

If you are trying to find an inmate, you can easily do an inmate search from the WDOC homepage.  Under quick links (red box), you will want to click on offender locator.

You will either need to know the inmates WDOC number or their first and last name. The more information you know, the better the search.

Once you find the inmate you are looking for, click on their name to find their information. Write down their WDOC number, the facility they are located in, and their status.

How to Stay in Contact

Research shows that inmates who have a great support system outside of prison will have a better chance at being rehabilitated. The WDOC offers several ways for you to stay in contact with a loved one.

Visitation: Visitation is allowed at each facility. However, each facility has their own information in regards to visitation. You can find this on the visitation page.

Phone calls: Inmates are allowed to make outgoing collect calls to friends and family.

Mail: Using the information from the inmate search, you can send mail to an inmate. Include the WDOC number, offenders name, and the address of the facility on all pieces of mail.

How to Send Money

Inmates need money put on their books for various reasons. You will need to know the information from your inmate search to send money. To send an offender money, you can do so in the following ways:

• By Phone: Call 1-8-66-245-1884 to put money on an inmate’s account.
• At a Walk-in location: At certain facilities, you can use Cash Pay Today or https://www.acecashexpress.com/Ace Cash Express machines to deposit money.
• Online: Wyoming uses Access Corrections to allow family and friends to deposit money using a credit card or debit card online.
