Visiting the Inmate

Visitation is also encouraged. However, you will need to follow strict guidelines and rules when visiting to ensure your safety and the safety of prisoners and staff.

Prisoners in Santa Ana County Central Jail are able to have 1 visit per week with a maximum of 3 people per visit. This includes children. The following is prohibited when visiting:

The Visitation week runs from Monday through Sunday. Visiting times are different depending when you wish to visit.

Talking on the phone

Inmates at Santa Ana County Central Jail will not be able to receive incoming phone calls and the facility will not take messages for the inmates. However, phones are available for inmates to use.

In order for an inmate to purchase these items, they must have money on their account. Friends and family can put money on this account.

There are automated kiosks located throughout the Santa Ana County Central Jail lobby where you can put money on an inmate’s account 7 days a week. VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and cash are accepted at these machines.

You can also send cash to the prisoner in the mail. No checks will be accepted either way.

Posting Bonds

Because the Santa Ana County Central Jail is a county jail, prisoners who have not yet been sentenced are sometimes able to be bonded out.
