Chelan County Regional Jail is an adult correctional center in the state of Washington. It has 267 beds and serves a population of 100,000 and a geographical area of over 5,000 square miles. It is located in the city of Wenatchee. It boasts a series of programs that benefit inmates’ spiritual, mental, and physical health. You can locate the jail’s roster and look at current inmates here. The jail facilitates appearance for inmates at Chelan and Douglas County Superior and District Courts and East Wenatchee Municipal Court. It is located at 401 Washington St, Wenatchee, WA 98801.

Chelan County Jail Inmates List

The jail inmates list can be accessed via the jail’s home page, or through this link. The jail provides a list of inmates so that loved ones can find inmates and their ID numbers.

The list runs from the top of the page to the bottom of the page vertically. It is currently organized alphabetically. Loved ones can sign up for notifications about an email via the VINElink service, which can be accessed by clicking on the small blue envelope next to an inmate’s name.

The inmates’ list currently has over 130 inmates listed on the docket.

Transition Education Program

The jail hosts a transition education program meant to reform prisoners and provide them with a foundation upon release. The transition program’s details, as pulled from its page, are as follows:

Visitation

Until further notice, visitation at the prison will be facilitated via video chat only. Loved ones wanting to visit inmates may go to this link. For a more complete list of the mail regulations, access the pdf included. The general requirements, as found on the PDF above, are listed below.

  • Inmates are solely responsible for informing loved ones of rules regarding the mail. This includes but is not limited to legal mail. Inmates are solely responsible for informing anyone, including publishers, of a change of address. ‘
  • Inmates are limited to only five letters per week at the facility’s expense or one letter for every weekday. Indigent inmate mail consists of standard first-class manila letters. If the aforementioned envelopes are not marked as legal and do not contain legal documentation they will not be accepted by the jail. (See Section V -Legal Mail). Unless the facility believes there is some threat to public safety or facility safety, inmates can send and receive unlimited letters at their own expense. Inmates are not limited in the volume of legal mail sent or received.
  • The jail reserves the right to revoke an inmate’s writing privileges to a group or individual in one of the following cases: if the recipient requests a cease in mail sent from the inmate; if the recipient is not considered an adult and his/her parent or guardian has requested in writing that the jail cease correspondence; In compliance with a court-ordered decision; For any specific clause supported in this material. An inmate may file a complaint about any withdrawal of writing privileges.
  • Mail addressed to or from inmates will never be processed or handled by other inmates. This is to protect the privacy of the inmates as well as the contents of the parcel.
  • Except for on holidays, mail will be delivered a maximum of two days after receipt.
  • In the event that the inmate is released from custody at the CCRJC, any first-class mail received by the sender will be returned to that sender in as timely a manner as possible.

Mail Policy

Loved ones can send mail to an inmate in the jail, but they must first refer to the jail’s rules and regulations for sending mail.

Work Release Program

The jail does feature a work-release program, but only members approved by a court may participate in the program. All fees to the jail must be paid before an inmate can be considered for the program.

Office Hours

The jail maintains a central office, which handles inquiries and a host of other functions. The office is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 to 4:30, with a break between the hours of 11:30 and 1:00.

The jail provides commissary services to all of its inmates. Personal hygiene items, snacks, and other such sundries may be purchased by inmates at the commissary. These items are paid for using money sent to inmates. Loved ones may deposit money into an inmate”s account through a number of avenues. One of these is the kiosk located in the Sheriff’s office.
