The Grady County Law Enforcement Center is located at 215 N. 3rd St. in Chickasha, OK. Chickasha is the county seat of Grady County and is approximately 40 miles southeast of Oklahoma City, OK.

The center can be reached via phone by calling 405-222-1000. The jail houses maximum and medium security level inmates.  It also houses prisoners who qualify for work release.

This three-story facility, built-in 1999, houses both male and female prisoners.  It has a maximum capacity of around 400 prisoners. In addition to serving as a jail housing for the City of Chickasha Police Department and the  Grady County Sherriff’s Office, the facility also partners with the US Marshalls to house federal prisoners and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Inmate Search

The official website for the Grady County Law Enforcement Center provides public access to the jails log of current detainees. The jail log provides a list of inmates. This list can be sorted by date or alphabetical order.  One version of the record only includes inmates ineligible for work release, while another version lists all prisoners currently associated with the facility.

Not only does this website allow a general search of the Grady county jail, but it also provides the public access to current information about Grady County warrants that GCSO has issued. This list can be generated by name or filtered only to show the most recent warrants.  It can also generate a printable report that shows warrants issued in the most recent 30 day time period.

Visitation

Visitation with inmates is available Monday thru Friday.  All visits must be scheduled a minimum of twelve hours before the visitation can occur.  Visitation can be scheduled from 9:00 am thru 11:00 am or from 1:00 pm thru 3:00 pm. The jail office cannot schedule visitations over the phone. Scheduling is handled online via the facility’s website.  You must create an account to access the scheduling system.  You will also need the inmate’s first and last name or identification number.

All visits are currently video visits. Video visits are handled through the telephone provider.  Visitors should expect every part of the video visit to be observed and monitored for inappropriate behavior.  The video and audio portions will also likely be recorded.

Visitors should be careful to hold themselves to the same standards that would apply if they were visiting in person. Failure to follow the center’s rules for behavior during a visitation could result in the inmate losing visitation privileges or no longer being allowed to visit with specific individuals. Most likely, visitors will be asked not to wear suggestive clothing. They will also likely be required to avoid vulgar behavior.

Money

Inmates will not be allowed to keep personal property in their cells.  All of their needs will be provided by the center. However, they will be allowed to purchase specific commissary items from Tigers Commissary.

Money for these items must be placed on the inmate’s account before purchases can be made. Deposits to the account can be made through an online platform. Customer service can be contacted by calling 1-877-844-3726. This service will allow anyone to deposit funds, place commissary orders, or even send funds to be used specifically for court payments. Commissary orders can often be filled and delivered the same day that an order is placed.  The online platform will inform the inmate (or anyone placing the order on the inmate’s behalf) when the order will be filled and when it will be delivered.

Phone Service

Inmates will have access to phone services while being held at the detention center.  Incoming phone calls are not allowed at this jail, and all calls will be collect or can be paid for through the inmate’s phone account.  Prodigy Inmate Services manages telephone accounts. For inmates to place outbound calls, they must have an active account with this service.  Once an account is created, the account can be used to deposit money for phone services. This is the same company that handles video visitation, and there is no need to make a separate account for each service. The same account is used for both.

Inmate Behavior Expectations

Access to commissary orders, phone service, video visitation, and work release are all privileges that an inmate can lose at any time. The Grady County Law Enforcement center staff works to maintain a safe and orderly environment and has strict expectations for inmates how conduct themselves. Any behavior that does not meet the expected behavior guidelines will be grounds for the staff to remove privileges. Family and friends should encourage their loved ones to take care to follow all rules and regulations while the inmates are at the facility. Family members should also be certain that their own actions do not violate any regulations.  They should take care to be aware of and follow all rules for phone calls, visitation, and mail delivery whenever they interact with the inmate.

Work Release

Many of the inmates at this facility participate in a work-release program. This allows them to continue reporting to their jobs during daytime hours, and they must return to the jail anytime they are not working. Work release is only available to eligible inmates who meet certain standards.  They must have a history of good behavior, and they must be serving sentences for non-violent offenses.  Inmates returning to the prison from the work release program should expect to be monitored carefully each time they enter or exit the facility. Some inmates could face frequent drug testing or other forms of extra surveillance.
