An account can be done by visiting videovistanywhere.com. Visits can be done from inside the facility or from the visitor’s home. There is a charge of $10.99 for home visits.
The same visitation rules apply regardless of where the visitor is located during the visit. No tank tops, transparent tops, short skirts/shorts, low-cut necklines or backless shirts/dresses, or obscene or vulgar clothing will be allowed. Visitors who come to the detention center for a visit must be wearing closed-toed shoes. Furthermore, visitors with a felony arrest history will not be permitted into the facility for visitation. Eddy County Inmate Lookup
The Eddy County Sherriff’s office provides the public with access to an online database. This database is an inmate lookup that allows anyone to know the details of an inmate’s charge and booking date. Searches can be done specifically for individuals “booked today.” The system also allows the user to see anyone who is “released today.” This search can be used to provide information on not only current detainees but also anyone who has previously been detained.
The report provided by the search tool includes the prisoner’s name, physical description, charges, and a copy of the mugshot. It also gives a detailed description of the charges as well as the time and place the offense occurred. It provides the date and time that an individual is booked into the facility and when they are released from it. In addition to the online search tool that is available, information about specific prisoners can be obtained by calling the prison office at 575-887-7556.
The search tool can also allow the detention center to post announcements about individuals or special circumstances occurring inside the complex and keep a record of any inmate with an active warrant. Public transparency is a top priority of the jail’s warden and sheriff’s office. They have taken extra efforts to make as much information about the facility and the inmates easy for the public to access.
Money
Family and friends are not allowed to send cash, checks, or money orders to the prisoners or to the main prison office. Each prisoner will have an account that they can use to pay for phone time, commissary items, or fees. Friends or family can make deposits to this account in a number of ways. A kiosk is located in the detention centers main lobby. It accepts credit/ debit/ cash payments and is available from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm.
A transaction fee applies for using the kiosk. Outside of the jail, deposits can be made by calling 1-866-394-0490 or by visiting the access corrections website. Deposits specifically for phone time can be made by calling 866-558-2823 or visiting the phone service website. Only outgoing calls are allowed at this facility, and an active phone payment account is required for prisoners to make phone calls.
