FCI Fairton is a men’s medium-security Federal Correctional Institute in Fairton, New Jersey with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp and detention center. It is about 40 miles west of Atlantic City, New Jersey. It can hold 1,500 inmates.

Fairton New Jersey Federal Prison operates through the Federal Bureau of Prisons out of the Northeast Region.

One of the most notable inmates is Nicodemo Scarfo, Jr who is a member of the Lucchese crime family from New Jersey. He’s in prison for money laundering, racketeering, and conspiracy among other crimes. In 2017, the former Chief Pharmacist was found to be stealing drugs and supplies from the prison and was sentenced to three years in prison.
