How to Bail Someone Out
Many times, the first thing you want to do is get the person out of jail to find out what happened and seek legal aid. If you wish to bail an inmate out, you must pay the full bail amount.
At Reno Jail, you can pay a cash bond online using Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, or Debit cards.

Visitation
For inmates who are serving time at Reno Jail or unable to be bailed out, visitation will be allowed.
When visiting, the following rules must be adhered to:
1. No Weapons Allowed
2. Must bring a Valid ID
3. No unattended children left in the lobby
4. Visitations are limited to 15 minutes
5. No Visitors under the age of 17
6. Each inmate is allowed one visit per day with a maximum of two visitors
Phone Privileges
Inmates will not be able to receive incoming calls. However, inmates will have opportunities to make collect calls to friends and family.
If you are unable to receive collect calls, you can call the jail at 775-334-2100 to inquire about other phone options that may be available such as a prepaid account.
Sending Mail
Inmates are typically not housed in the Reno Jail for long periods of time. If you wish to get mail to an inmate, first ensure they are at the facility. Then, contact the jail for the exact address and information that needs to be put on the envelope. If in doubt, you can always go into the jail to speak with someone as well.
