To search for an inmate, you can visit the Colfax County Sheriff website. Type in the first and last name of the offender you are looking for. There is an orange bar at the top of the page where you can do this.
You can also call 402-352-8514, 402-352-8526 to get general prisoner information such as whether a prisoner is at the facility or not.
After you have completed your search, you will want to write down pertinent information such as the offender’s date of birth, arrest date, booking number, and any other information you think you may need.
This information will help you to be able to send mail, speak to an inmate, and visit. Information on the website is updated twice per hour.
