Fayette County Detention Center, KY is a medium-security county correctional facility situated at 600 Frankfort Cir Lexington, KY. The facility is locally run by the Sheriff’s Department and mostly holds inmates who are awaiting trials in the justice system. The facility also temporarily holds inmates arrested by the Lexington Police Department and the Marshal’s Service since such do not have sizeable holding facilities. Inmates are allowed to release funds to their loved ones from their commissary accounts during the first seven days of their lockup.
