You will need to either know the person’s CT DOC inmate number or their last name, first name, and date of birth to search for them. You can also search all inmates to look through the list of inmates, so you can find the person you are looking for.

How to Talk to an Inmate

If you are wanting to speak with an inmate, inmates may call you using a system called Securus. Simply enroll in Securus online, and choose from three options to fund your account.

Advance Connect: This is a prepaid option that allows you to put money into your account and start receiving calls from a loved one.

Direct Bill: If an inmate is incarcerated for longer than 2 years, the Direct Bill option is a great choice. You can accept calls up to your credit limit.

Traditional Collect: Traditional collect calls are billed on your phone bill depending on the service provider you have.

Calling rates are subject to change, so always check what the costs are before you begin the process of talking with an inmate over the phone.
