The Lonoke County Detention Facility is a facility that holds inmates that are waiting to be put on trial or their sentencing. It is not a jail, and the detention facility holds inmates for about two years. It will hold any inmate from the Lonoke area and all of the surrounding areas. Whenever a prisoner gets arrested, they are sent to this facility and placed into one of several different areas to separate them. We separate the inmates into several housing areas depending on their security risk and their gender.
The Detention Center can house prisoners both awaiting trial and after their conviction, although most prisoners are only held for less than two years.
How To Find An Inmate in the Lonoke County Jail
If you have a relative or loved one inside of the Lonoke County jail, then you can look them up with VINELINK. It is a national register that serves all fifty states, and the VINE stands for ‘Victim Information and Notification Everyday.” If you want to know about where your loved one is, then you will be able to find out where they are and the progress of their case.
VINELINK covers all 50 states, including Arkansas, and you can locate any inmate. Additionally, the Lonoke Detention Facility publishes the names of their inmates inside the inmate database. You will need to know a few pieces of information about your inmate, including their full name and their inmate number, but after that you will be able to find them easily.
The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office
Another way to find an inmate is by looking through the website of the Lonoke County Sheriff, which can search for both regular inmates and sex offenders, along with giving you information about local Arkansas law enforcement.
Why Would You Want to Find An Inmate?
In some cases, finding an inmate might need to be done if you are trying to see if someone you know is in jail. You might want to check up on a convicted sex offender in your area, or you might want to connect with a family member in jail.
Finding an inmate might not be easy, but it is free. The Lonoke County Jail has several free resources to help you find an inmate in our detention centre. There are also several ways to find an inmate on your own, as long as you know about where they are arrested and what jurisdiction they are being held in.
Finding a Mugshot For An Inmate
One of the easiest ways to find an inmate, especially if they have had a name change since you last saw them, is through their mugshot. Finding their mugshot is fairly easy and you need to work with your state’s department of corrections. You will get to the Arkansas department of corrections page and you can start searching for the inmate with their names.
You will need at least a last name to find an inmate, although the more information you have the better. Once the person you are doing the inmate search for comes up, then you can look at their mugshot.
General Information About the Facility
Since the Lonoke County Detention Facility is only a county jail, most inmates are only held for a few days. If they committed a small or local crime, they might stay in the county jail for up to three years before being released.
Daily life is pretty easy, with every part of the facility being divided into pods. All of the pods contain the inmate’s cells that take about three inmates per cell, a common area, and an outdoor area for recreation. Inmates can use the tables inside the common area for recreation, and they can head into the prison commissary to purchase various items.
What Crimes Land You in The Lonoke County Jail?
Most crimes that deal with the Lonoke detention center are misdemeanors. These are smaller crimes that aren’t major crimes that could land you in Federal Prison, but smaller ones that will keep you in local jail. There are three types of misdemeanors, classified as A, B, and C.
The class A misdemeanors are the serious types of misdemeanors that carry the biggest fines and longest year in jail time. For example, stealing someone’s property, having multiple DUI offenses, trespassing, or assault are all examples of class A misdemeanors.
Class B misdemeanors have a jail time of 90 days and a smaller fine. Cyberbullying is one of the most common class B misdemeanors, along with criminal mischief and trespassing, and public intoxication.
Class C misdemeanors are also very serious, including three to ten years in prison and a 10,000 dollar fine. Significant theft of property and vandalism of a public building can be a class three misdemeanor.
Despite the severity of the misdemeanor, it will only keep them in the local county jail, and not move them to the federal prison system.
Visiting Hours
The Lonoke county detention center has visiting hours where loved ones can visit the inmates, along with other ways to stay in contact. You can send them mail through the prison mail system, including postcards and packages.
You can also receive collect calls from your loved one, although you will need to pay for the call. Additionally, you can visit an inmate at our facility. However, you will only be limited to two people whenever you come to visit, and you will need to fill out a visitor application form before you can schedule a visit.
We’ve Got Your Inmate In Good Hands
No matter why you want to find an inmate at the Lonoke County Detention center, we offer several ways to find them. From VINE to InmateAid to our sheriff’s website, you will be able to see where your inmate is inside of our system, and how to contact them once they get to the detention center.
With good behavior and support from those on the outside, they will be able to get back to real life and rebuild their life outside of prison walls.
